Public transportation options

The Denver metro area is served by RTD transportation district.

The University of Denver light rail station is located at the north side of campus, about 10 minutes walk from the dormitories. Trains to downtown run frequently on all days and take about 20 minutes to reach downtown.

Bus number 24 runs North-South on University Blvd. Bus number 21 runs East-West on Evans Avenue.

Directions

Getting from the Denver International Airport (DEN) to campus:

The fastest option is to take a taxi, which will cost you about $55 one way.

You can also take a shared shuttle, for instance the Super Shuttle, which costs about $30 one way. You can either book your ride ahead of time at the above web page, or you can purchase a ride at one of the kiosks of Super Shuttle inside the main terminal of the airport. There are other shuttle companies located inside the terminal, too.

Public transportation enthusiasts can take the AF "Skyride" bus from the airport to downtown (see Sunday schedule for the AF bus) to Market Street station downtown, take a short ride east on the free 16th Street Mall bus to Stout Street, and finally take light rail F or H to University of Denver station. All for about $15.

If you need special accommodations or if you arrive with a group of participants at the same time, we can pick you up at the airport - let us know.

Getting your dorm key:

The Nagel Hall front desk will be open all day on August 10 and August 11. The desk will close at midnight on August 11 and will remain closed during the conference. If you arrive after midnight August 11 or if you need assistance during the week, please call the on-call phone 720 234 8092. If there is no response and you are stranded, call Petr Vojtechovsky.

Driving to the University of Denver campus (Olin Hall):

From I-25, take the University Blvd exit and proceed south. After about 1 mile turn right (west) onto Iliff Ave. Olin Hall will be on your left after about 500ft. There are a few parking spots on Iliff Ave. Continue west to the adjacent residential area for more parking spots.
