Ronnie Pavlov was born in Akron, OH on September 1, 1982, and grew up in Columbus, OH. Jasmine Carey was born in Newport, RI on October 1, 1983, and lived in Honolulu, HI, Orlando, FL, and Charleston, SC before moving to Columbus in 2002. Ronnie and Jasmine met in 2001 at the wedding of their mutual friend Audrea. Ronnie had just begun graduate school in mathematics at Ohio State, and Jasmine was in her first year at the College of Charleston. They hit it off and dated long-distance for about a year, then Jasmine moved to Columbus to attend OSU. Jasmine received a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 2005, and since then has worked at OSU on data analysis for the National Labor Survey of Youth. Ronnie received a Master's degree in mathematics in 2003, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in mathematics in 2007. Ronnie proposed to Jasmine on December 22, 2006 in an exceedingly goofy and cute way which he has demanded not be revealed here. (It involves teddy bears!) After the wedding, they will be moving to Vancouver, BC, where Ronnie will begin a postdoctoral research position at the University of British Columbia, and Jasmine will begin a graduate program in psychology, also at UBC. UPDATE!!! Hello everyone! Thanks so much for being a part of our special day. We had a wonderful time, and hope you all did as well. We are doing well in Vancouver. Jasmine is almost done with her first term of grad school, and she will be presenting a poster at an American Psychological Association conference next summer. Ronnie just finished his first term of teaching at UBC, and is writing several papers that will be submitted for publication in the coming year. We are really enjoying the beautiful scenery here, despite the rainy weather. Ronnie will be back in Columbus on Dec. 23, and Jasmine is coming on Dec. 27, so we will see all of our Columbus friends and family then! We have finally added some wedding pictures!
